Overview
MostlyLies.com is my personal website for showcasing self-published fiction and things related to self-published fiction. It is one of the first sites I built using CSSIgniter themes.
Web features & details
The site uses Wordpress for the CMS (modified CSSIgniter Nico theme). It’s a fairly straightforward site with a few social integrations such as Instagram posts. It makes use of several CSSIgniter shortcodes to help structure information, such as collapsible accordion sections and tooltips. There are Amazon links from book landing pages.
The site also contains a series of four lengthy posts about my philosophies and advice for aspiring self publishers. I’m particularly proud of how they turned out! There’s a sample of some the writing below, and you can find the full series here.
For a while, I blogged daily on the site about the process and challenges of self-publishing. There are also a few free short stories available to enjoy, which first appear in response to writing prompts on Reddit.
