Social listening research

Overview

Our client wanted to better understand the relationships between patients and a particular condition. I directed a research team that used public social media and conversational data to expand on foundational findings supplied by the client. The project lasted over several months, involved over half a dozen original studies, and culminated in a fully designed report book.

Social listening

The primary data collection methodology was a technique we called social listening.

Using various technologies such as Radian6 (now Salesforce Social Studio), public discussion posted by patients with the target condition were identified, categorized and analyzed. Volume, sentiment, velocities, along with many qualitative data were considered.
